Seirbhís Leabharlainne Níos Fearr do Mhuintir Na Tuaithe

Taobh Tíre is a pilot research program run by the Donegal County Council in association with the Library Council of Ireland. It is investigating and implementing new and innovative ways of providing library services in isolated communities accross Donegal.

Taobh Tíre consists of a PC service point with connection to the Internet and online access to the Donegal County Library’s online catalogue. This give you an opportunity to choose from over 170,00 books CDs, videos, DVDs, books on tape and have them delivered to An tSean Bheairic for you to collect. A taster collectoin of books has been provided to An tSean Bheairic. We hope to build upon this collection by inviting members of the community to donate their second-hand books, videos and cds!

The new Taobh Tíre resource along with An tSean Bheairic Mini- Library will be launched on February 4th 2006.
